Celebrating colour and tactile textiles, JuanitaTortilla is a collection of individually-handcrafted whimsical wares.

Juanita has keen interest in zero waste; reclaiming (“upcycling”) and creating original work for the discerning eco-conscious. Simplicity in form and structure --with a dash of bold taste and humor-- is reflected in Juanita's work.

Individually hand-crafted

Juanita enjoys bricolage, sewing, playing with paint and keeping her hands busy by exploring creative avenues.

Pickled Pockets / Special Collections

Incorporating printmaking techniques and inevitably earning her the 'crazy cat lady' title, Juanita features her Ragdoll x Birman cat, Pickle, in the Pickled Pockets collection. Subsequently, Juanita expanded her hand-printed repertoire to include the charismatic native birds while living in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia.

Named Juanita at birth, JuanitaTortilla is her age-old online handle.

Juanita is now based in North Bend, Washington with her husband and two beautiful indoor seal-point cats, Pickle (16) and Mia (3).
