The dress certainly dried out lighter. After putting it on, I have decided that the edges (arm scythes and bottom hem) shall be left raw as they are. This is such a special piece of clothing, I will need a very good reason to wear it! For now, it looks gorgeous on a hanger in the closet.

It will need to be taken in with a belt at the waist, however.

Below is the dress layered over a black shift one that I like. It is very roomy.

  1. Turned out so well, I wish I could have joined you for the workshop. Especially love stitching and the unusual pleats. Of course the leaf prints are also that special prints of approval from mother nature herself. so stunning!
