Another great use of the bread maker: preparing dough. Croissants have been on my To-Do list, without having had much success in the past. This croissant recipe was from the bread maker recipe book. I had the folded square dough chilled overnight, cutting and shaping the little croissants in the morning. The final rise took ages, even Pickle was getting impatient. (She loves yeasty and buttery things!)

Nothing like fresh buttery* croissants paired with homemade strawberry conserve.

This batch made 18. We’ll be having croissants for days.

* OMG, so much butter, our poor hearts.
