Just a little freshening-up around the house — we flipped the dining set towards the kitchen, then turned the empty corner into a lounge.

The two-seater sofa is from the TV room downstairs. Now this is the perfect place to have our morning coffee and stare at our gadgets.

The dining area is now by the kitchen and we get to enjoy the view better.

Here’s something newly-acquired for this home project: a cow hide. I had mentally pictured a Persian rug or similar to be a feature floor piece by the balcony, but this hide works. I never saw myself as an animal hide sort of person (poor cow), but the fluidity of curved edges works (I think).

This is what I propose: we save up — or wait for the perfect one to come by — for a sideboard. We have in mind something in reclaimed or recycled timber!
